Windy City Training can help you understand how legislation works, and how it can work for your organisation. We can help build knowledge and capability in your team about how to navigate and manage legislative processes to get good outcomes.

We’ll tailor a course for your organisation that covers things like:

  • the basics of legislation

  • key legislation for you

  • making sense of legislation

  • engaging with Select Committees

  • implementing legislative change

Key learning outcomes

Staff completing the Understanding Legislation course will:

  • understand the context for how and why we write for ministers, boards and councils

  • be able to confidently identify their audience

  • learn about tools and techniques to make their writing more persuasive

  • be able to apply these tools to a range of documents they use in their everyday work
